Denise J Warner
 

Originally from Philadelphia, Denise joined our staff in 1987. Denise lives in Lititz with her husband George and two children, Emma and Cole. In her spare time Denise enjoys spending time watching her daughter play soccer, traveling, reading, baking & cooking. Denise enjoys her volunteer work for Lititz Springs Swim Team, Lititz Youth Soccer Club and Lititz/Warwick Community Food Pantry. Denise and her family share their home with two cats Carly & Color.

Technicians

Sarah Dohren , C.V.T.Sarah Dohren , C.V.T.

Sarah joined Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital in December 2004.  Originally from Illinois, she lives with one cat named Roush and a Flat-Coated Retriever named Twister.  Twister is an accomplished agility dog who also enjoys hunting and catching a Frisbee – or anything else you throw to him.  Besides agility, Sarah also enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies and sports.  Growing up in the Chicago area, she is a fan of all sports teams (except the White Sox).  She also enjoys dancing and recently took Salsa dance lessons.  Sarah says her favorite part about her job is seeing the bond between humans, their pet and the veterinarian, especially when the pet is a puppy or kitten.  Puppy breath is also a bonus of this job!


Julie Whaley, C.V.T.
 

Julie is originally from Youngstown Ohio. She graduated from Wilson College in 2001 with a B.S. VMT degree and concentrated in biology. Julie and her husband Dave live in Landisville with their son, Keegan and new baby girl, Aubrey born August 20, 2007. They share there house with 2 pugs named Clay and Oliver and 3 cats named Issac, Princess Sweet Pea (named by her 2 year old daughter), and Sidney. Julie enjoys hiking and skiing and she loves working with animals.

MaryBeth Whittredge, C.V.T.

MaryBeth was born and raised in Rochester, New York. She attended and graduated from the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi, in 1993. She relocated to Arizona in 1995.There she became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 1997. She then relocated with her husband to York, Pennsylvania in 2009 to be closer to family, after having 2 children. She brought their 7 cats along to take a trip across the country and is now a great member of our team!

Sarah Gehman, C.V.T.

Sarah joined the Manheim Pike Veterinary team in August, 2011 as a Veterinary Technician. She Graduated from Lehigh Casbon and North Hampton Community College Vet Tech program in 2011. Originally from Atmore, Alabama, Sarah lives in Akron with her parents and siblings. They share their home with a young terrier mix named Trevor and a dwarf rabbit named Mo. Sarah has worked at Petsmart Pets Hotel
as a caretaker and was an assistant to the Vet Tech Professors at Lehigh Carbon Community College.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys sports, snowboarding, college football (especially the Auburn Tigers)
and being active in her church. Sarah is a great addition to our practice. She loves animals, meeting new people and their pets every day.


Karen Welch, C.V.T

Karen joined the Manheim Pike Veterinary team in August, 2011 as a Veterinary Technician. Karen has always lived in Washington Boro, PA with her family. They share their home with Irish Setter Rio and
German Shepherd, Okie.  Karen was homeschooled and graduated from the LCC/NCC Vet Tech Program
in 2011. Prior to working here, Karen was an Administrative Assistant for Control Systems by Welch, Inc.
She has also been involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship and taught 5-day clubs which included songs, Bible stories and games. In her spare time, Karen loves playing volleyball, card games, movies
and outdoor adventures such as camping, hiking and canoeing. Karen loves animals and people and is happy to combine the two passions into one.


Marie Rose, Client Relations

Marie, a Lancaster native, now lives in York County. Previously Marie worked at a veterinary hospital in York. Marie lives in a household of MEN. She and her husband Todd have 3 sons. She is a great lover of dogs, especially "little" ones. She has a chihuahua named Rosebud, a bichon named Molly and a "special needs" Cat name Wren.

Kim joined our team in November 2007. Her previous position was as an assistant manager at Rhubarbs Market and is currently a Client Service Representative. She has two grown daughters, Kelley and Paula. She loves her 2 cats Clawde and Violet along with her turtle, Turtie. She enjoys reading, movies and especially knitting. She loves working at Manheim Pike Veterinary Hospital because it combines her
love of people and animals with her passion for service. She will go above and beyond to make

stacy batesStacy Bates, Client Relations

Stacy joined the team at Manheim Pike in February 2010 as a Customer Service Representative.
Originally from Manheim, she lives in Lititz with her husband, Steve and their teenage daughter,
Madelynne.  They share their home with 2 dogs, Oliver and Mia and multiple cats.  Before working
at Manheim Pike, she was a licensed Hairstylist and Nail technician for almost 20 years.  She also
ran a successful pet sitting business fulltime for 5 years and still does pet sitting on the side. 
In her little free time, Stacy enjoys reading, cross-stitching and has recently taken up knitting. 
Stacy loves animals and thoroughly enjoys working with them and their “people”.

Lynn Zdilla, Client Relations

Lynn joined the Manheim Pike Veterinary team in 2002 as a Client Relations Specialist. Before that she was always in the restaurant business as either a kitchen manager or head cook. Originally from Boyertown, Lynn lives in Holtwood, in beautiful southern Lancaster County. Her dog Joey is a handsome and very comical Irish Terrier. Lynn has two sons, Dan of Lancaster and Mike of Philadelphia. In her spare time, Lynn enjoys cooking, quilting and walking Joey through the many rural paths near her home.


Susie Kelley, Client Relations

Susie has been a part of the Manheim Pike Veterinary team off and on as a Customer Service Specialist for 6 years. After retiring as a graphic designer for 20 years her love for animals and people made her transition to the Veterinary industry an easy one. Susie lives in Lancaster City and has enjoyed being a part of the downtown revitalization project. Her son Drew, lives in North Carolina and her daughter Hilary New York. She shares her condo with 2 tortoise shell cats, Ellie and Olive.

Kerry Redkay, Hospital Caretaker
A native of Lancaster County, Kerry now lives in Akron. He joined our staff in May 2001 as our hospital caretaker.

Assistants

Adam Bailey , Veterinary Assistant
Adam joined the staff August of 2003. He attended Moravian College in 2000. Prior to working here, he worked at Stauffers of Kissel Hill, Bombergers and UPS. He enjoys reading, writing and architectural drawing. Adam works hard as a veterinary assistant, helping doctors with appointments, filling presciptions and assisting surgeries.

Cherie Hoover, Veterinary AssistantCherie Hoover, Veterinary Assistant
Cherie joined our team in August of 2006. She was born and raised in East Earl, PA. She married her high school sweetheart in May 2009 and now resides in Akron. Cherie has completed a Veterinary Assistant course and has ambitions to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has two bouncy yellow labs, Buddy and Dixie and a kitten named Eleanore. Since family and friends know Cherie's kind heart towards animals, she has experience fostering a few litters of kittens. It gives her great pleasure to watch them
grow strong and recover to find a new life. Cherie loves to watch bonds grow between animals and their caretakers. She also enjoys art, photography and everything and anything outdoors.

Katie Stehman, Veterinary Assistant

A native of Lancaster, Katie joined our team as a veterinary assistant in August 2004.  In 2010, Katie took
on the role of Nurse Assistant Supervisor.  Katie recently moved from Lancaster city to an old school house in the country, next door to a pasture full of cows!  She lives with her significant other of 11 years, Andy, and two cats, Puss and Yoda.  Katie enjoys working with all patients at MPVH, but especially enjoys the visits by ferrets and guinea pigs.  Katie enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, biking and gardening, relaxing by practicing yoga and traveling to faraway places, especially if it involves travel on trains!

Toots, Office Cat

Toots joined the team as office cat in 2005. She previously lived with Katie, but decided living in a multi-cat household wasn’t for her.  Toots is quite happy here.  She spends her time sleeping, eating, working the counter for treats from clients and sleeping some more.  Her favorite days are when her mom, Katie, brings her freshly grown cat grass and cat-nip. Yum!

Gen was born outside of Philadelphia and grew up in Ephrata, PA. She graduated from Florida State University in 1994 and moved back to Lancaster in 2002. She shares her home with her husband and
son Aiden, who was born in June 2008, Snarfles and Roomba her pug/bulldog mixes, and her cat, Nelly. Gen has experience in pet sitting and animal rescue. She enjoys jewelry making arts and crafts, photography and home remodeling. Gen, an interior designer by trade, joined our team in May, 2007
looking for a positive change and a chance to work with animals. She loves working in a field where the energy is high and she can make a difference in the lives of others.

brBrittany Stipe, Veterinary Assistant

  Brittany joined the Manheim Pike Veterinary team in June 2010 as a Veterinary Assistant. Brittany originally went to Penn State University and received her Bachelors in Psychology and worked closely with children. However, she felt something was missing and decided her true calling was to work with animals. She is now in school working towards her degree to become a Veterinary Technician and hopes to combine her
two degrees by focusing on animal behavior. Brittany and her husband, Colin share their home with a large group of pets including a Chesapeake Bay retreiver named Blade, a greyhound mix named Ayla, and two cats named Brandi and Mindy. She also has a Tennesee Walking Horse named Mickey. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, reading and photography.
